Tool Description Steps
SEARCH TOOLS
Search Tools

Search Tools - The user can find a parcel by typing in one of the following:

  • Owner Name
  • PIN
  • Address

1) Type in the search parameter of choice
2) Click on the "Find" button next to search of choice

NAVIGATION TOOLS
Toggle Overview Map On/Off - An overview map, which shows the current extent of the map within the extent all layers in the map service, can be optionally displayed by the user 1) Click on the tool
Zoom In - This tool is designed to allow the user to zoom in to an area incrementally centered on a clicked point or by defining a box extent 1) Click on the tool to activate it
2) Draw a rectangle over the desired area
Zoom Out - This tool is designed to allow the user to zoom out to an area incrementally centered on a clicked point 1) Click on the tool to activate it
2) Draw a rectangle over the desired area
Zoom to Full Extent - This tool allows a user to display the full extent of the map. 1) Click on the tool
Move Map - This function allows the user to move around the map by dragging the map image on the desired location. 1) Click on the tool to activate it
2) To move around the map hold the mouse button down while you drag the pointer across the map.
QUERY/SELECTION TOOLS
Get Tax Details Get Tax Details - This tool will display additional tax information on a parcel

1) Click on the tool to activate it
2) Click on the desired parcel on the map

Identify Feature - This tool will allow the display of attributes associated with a selected feature. 1) Make the desired layer active by clicking on the layer name
2) Click on the tool to activate it
3) Click on the desired feature on the map.
Query Builder (Feature Selection) - This tool will allow users to create a simple or complex query statement for selecting features from a specified layer. 1) Make the desired layer active by clicking on the layer name
2) Click on the tool to activate it
3) Create your query string.
4) Click 'Get Samples' for sample data
5) Click 'Add to Query'
6) Click 'Execute' to run your query
Measure - This tool will allow the user to define a line by clicking two or more positions on the map display and receive a total measured length for the line in feet. 1) Click on the tool to activate it
2) Draw a line across the map by clicking one point at a time
Select by Rectangle (Feature Selection) - This tool will allow users to select features defining a rectangle. 1) Make the desired layer active by clicking on the layer name
2) Click on the tool to activate it
3) Draw a box across the map over desired features
Create Buffer Create Buffer - This tool will allow the user to create a buffer around a selected feature and select information from another layer.

1) Select a feature on the map
2) Click on the tool to activate it
3) Choose the layer to select from.
4) Type in the buffer distance in feet.
5) You can choose to display attributes from the selected layer.
6) Click the 'Create Buffer' button

Clear Selection - This tool will allow users to clear selected features in the map display. 1) Click on the tool
PRINT/HELP TOOLS
Print Preview - This tool will allow users to print the current map display as well as the latest Identify/Query results. 1) Click on the tool
2) Type in desired map title in the textbox
3) Click 'Print'
View Disclaimer View Disclaimer - This tool will open a window that displays a disclaimer to the user 1) Click on the tool
